Julie Fischer McCarter is a fine art photographer whose work is greatly informed by nature and the sacred world found within it. She studied photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and worked for over 10 years as a corporate photographer before shifting her creative attention to fine art photographic work. 

Julie is also a psychotherapist with a Master's in Social Welfare from University of California at Berkeley. Her experience with somatic therapy, mindfulness, breath work and trauma resolution is at the center of her creative practice.

In addition to developing her own work, Julie teaches workshops that blend themes of emotional wellness, mindfulness and the art of expressive photography. She currently lives in Harpswell, Maine.
